Pagan Man – Approaching the Male Mysteries

to lessen confusion, please understand that the term “archetype” is used to reference types of gods. It is a method for more cohesion throughout various pantheons instead of focusing on one God name or another.

Similiar to use the use of the term the “Mother Goddess” to reflect Mother Goddesses that are in present in almost every pantheon (Roman, Greece, Etruscan, Welsh, Asatru, Celtic, Native American, Huna, Santeria, Strega, Hoodoo, Voodou, etc.) Using achetype gives us a reference point for pagans and the priesthood to discuss the mysteries in depth universally and in a way that impacts us personally in our own pantheons.

Additionally, when someone references an archetype (although is may seem like an “occupation”), it is referencing more than a profession. For example, if I am discussing the Smithing Gods, we are discussing the aspects and traits of the Smith Gods – usually, mastering over the flame, the creative force of the male principle, the ability to empower other men, etc.
