Autumn!

Finally, the long hot summer in Florida is coming to an end. Summer in Florida is my quiet and self-reflection time. We tend to deal with our summers like Northerners deal with the winter. We stay inside a lot. It’s too hot to have a flame in the fire pit and sit anywhere closer than 40 feet away from it. That is, if you can get a decent fire going in the humidity.

I am looking forward to reemerging into the activities I love the best. Being outside in nature. Outdoor fires. Walks on the beach. Guests on the patio. Crafts in the backyard. Naked mud wrestling (not really, but your eyebrows went up didn’t they?)

So, my old friend Autumn and Winter are coming and I am ready to feel the cold breezes and drink mead around the fire.

In these few weeks before the coolness comes, I start thinking of old friends and times. Those I love in my life now. Those that I have loved and had to walk away from. This life had been full of rich experiences. Amazing passions. Deep sadness. Reunions from past lives. Great pain. But, most of all being blessed by the Goddess to have been able to experience them all.
